What to Expect
Your first visit with HIM & HER—what to know, what to bring, and how to prepare.
The Annual Health Exam
Before your first IV, injection, or Botox treatment, new clients complete a brief Annual Health Exam ($39). This includes:
• Review of your medical history
• Current medications and supplements
• Discussion of your wellness goals
Most clients have no restrictions. The exam takes 10-15 minutes and can be completed at any location or during a mobile visit. Once completed, it remains valid for one full year.
What to Bring
For All Appointments:
• Valid ID
• Payment method (credit/debit, HSA/FSA, or cash)
For IV or Injection Services:
• Wear comfortable clothing with sleeves that roll up easily
• Eat a light meal 1-2 hours before
• Stay hydrated
For Botox:
• Come with a clean face—no makeup on treatment areas
• Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and NSAIDs for 24-48 hours prior if possible
The Experience
You'll be greeted by name and shown to your treatment area. Your nurse will review your goals, answer questions, and ensure you're comfortable.
For IV services, you'll settle into a comfortable chair. The insertion feels like a brief pinch—similar to a blood draw. Once in place, you won't feel significant discomfort. Bring your phone, a book, or simply relax.
For injections, the process is even quicker—5-10 minutes from start to finish.
After Your Treatment
IV Hydration: Many clients feel immediate improvement. You can return to normal activities immediately.
Injections: Return to all normal activities immediately. Mild soreness at the injection site is normal.
Botox: Avoid rubbing treated areas for 4 hours. Stay upright for 4 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Full results visible within 7-14 days.
Payment & Insurance
Accepted: Credit/Debit Cards, HSA/FSA Cards, Cash
Insurance: We do not bill insurance directly. You may submit receipts for potential reimbursement.

Book NowWhat to expect
Your experience depends on the service you book and whether it’s in-person at our Oak Ridge location or via telehealth. A few things are consistent across all services:
Annual Health Exam (new patients)
New patients begin with an Annual Health Exam, conducted via telehealth with a nurse practitioner. It confirms you’re a good fit for treatment and keeps a current exam on file for compliance. It is required once per year — once on file, it’s valid for twelve months, so returning patients don’t need to repeat it during that window.
Telehealth visits
A short video visit with a nurse practitioner for minor family-medicine concerns. Book online or call/text 865-666-8070. Most visits are available immediately or same-day; you can also schedule for a later day. Tennessee residents, ages 12+.
In-person services at our Oak Ridge location
For IV hydration, vitamin injections, or Botox, you’ll come to our space at Ascension Wellness and Yoga, 110 Randolph Road, Oak Ridge. By appointment only. The exact flow varies by service, but every visit is unhurried and personal.
Mobile services
For mobile IV hydration and injections, our nurse comes to you (home, office, hotel, or event) within the greater Knoxville area. $40 travel fee per visit.
After your visit
What happens after depends on the service. For telehealth, we’ll send any prescriptions to your pharmacy and walk through next steps. For in-person services, our team will go over aftercare specific to what you received.
