Pediatric (Adolescent) IV Therapy · Ages 12+
IV Hydration for Kids & Teens in Knoxville
Fast, provider-supervised IV hydration for kids and teens ages 12 and up — for illness and dehydration or everyday wellness and sports recovery. Available in-clinic in Oak Ridge and by mobile visit throughout the greater Knoxville area.
Pediatric & Kids IV Hydration, Done Right
When a child or teen is run-down from a stomach bug, the flu, or a tough sports schedule, IV hydration delivers fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins directly into the bloodstream for fast, effective rehydration. At HIM & HER Youth and Hydration Clinic, every pediatric IV visit is supervised by a licensed provider and tailored to your child — whether in our Oak Ridge clinic (inside Ascension Wellness & Yoga) or at home through our mobile service across Knoxville, Farragut, Oak Ridge, and the surrounding communities.
Ages We Serve
We provide IV hydration for kids and teens ages 12 and up. Adolescents 12+ can receive IV therapy in our clinic or via mobile visit, after a quick provider evaluation to confirm it's appropriate and safe.
Have a child under 12? We don't routinely treat younger children with IV therapy, but we're glad to help — call or text 865-666-8070 and we'll talk through options or point you to the right resource. For infants and toddlers, pediatric dehydration is best evaluated by your pediatrician or an emergency department.

- Fatigue and sluggishness after being sick
Wellness & Performance

- Rehydration after games, practices, or tournaments

Safe, Provider-Evaluated Care
IV hydration for young people is only appropriate after a provider confirms it's the right call. Every visit includes an evaluation, age- and weight-appropriate fluids, and licensed clinical oversight from start to finish.
When to skip the IV and seek emergency care. IV hydration at home or in-clinic is not a substitute for emergency medicine. If a child or teen has signs of severe dehydration — no urination for many hours, extreme lethargy or confusion, persistent vomiting, trouble breathing, a very high fever, or seems seriously ill — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department right away.

Kids & Teen IV Hydration FAQ
Is IV hydration safe for kids and teens?
For adolescents ages 12 and up, IV hydration is generally safe when it's provider-evaluated and clinically appropriate. Our licensed providers assess your child first and use age- and weight-appropriate fluids. It is not a replacement for emergency care — severely ill or dehydrated children should be seen in an emergency department.
What age do you treat?
We provide IV hydration for kids and teens ages 12 and up. For children under 12, please call or text 865-666-8070 and we'll talk through options or refer you appropriately; infants and toddlers should be evaluated by a pediatrician or emergency department.
Can you come to our home for a sick teen?
Yes. Our mobile service brings IV hydration to your home across Knoxville, Farragut, Oak Ridge, and nearby areas. A flat $40 mobile fee per visit applies plus the cost of treatment. If your child is seriously ill, choose the ER instead.
What conditions can IV hydration help with?
Common reasons include dehydration from stomach bugs, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and the flu, as well as wellness needs like sports recovery, immune support, and energy for active teens. Your provider will recommend the right drip after evaluating your child.
How much does pediatric IV hydration cost?
Pricing depends on the drip your provider recommends. Mobile visits add a flat $40 mobile fee per visit (not per person). Call or text 865-666-8070 and we'll walk you through the options.
